Is there any way to fix this to make my life easier going forward? Or is it just 'One Of Those Things' in the current CC that I just have to live with?

S ome of you may remember when using fancy fonts meant an expensive visit to the professional typesetter others probably don’t even know what a professional typesetter is. The full Adobe Fonts library is cleared for both personal and commercial use. (For reference - Computer 2 has always done this, even when I am logged in and remembered by the Creative Cloud launcher.) We spent time the best of the bunch with the Apple Aperture team and came while creating on-the-away impressed with Aperture’s overall y. Going back to InDesign it now tells me that Adobe Fonts are enabled, but when I try to activate the fonts in the document they just load for a while and then don't resolve.Ĭlosing InDesign and re-opening the programme and re-loading the file has resolved this issue, but it's taken a good chunk of time and left me a little exasperated. Opened the Creative Cloud launcher and it had logged me out - first time for everything - so I logged in and waited for the launcher to boot up. I opened InDesign first and opened the file, and it told me Adobe Fonts were disabled. I've been trying to open a file for over 15 minutes. After installation, you see the new font file in your Fonts folder.

Just drag the file from the desktop over to the open Fonts window.

This location, for my PC at least, is: C:>Windows>Fonts. Production checks the plotter, and then gives it to editorial to quickly check for anything that may have gone awry, such as an image missing or pages in the wrong order. It used to be that Computer 1 was fine and Computer 2 had a bit of an issue, but as of this morning Computer 1 is now doing the same thing. Now that you have the font unzipped to the desktop, you need to move it into the Fonts folder for your computer. I'm finding that when I open any of the apps (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign are my go-to programs) it takes a good 5-10 minutes for any Adobe Typekit fonts to kick in, and normally requires some combination of opening and closing the app and the Creative Cloud window several times. I have one CC license split across two PCs.
